Joshua Young is a University of Nebraska at Kearney alumnus, finishing his undergrad in Recreation Management in 2002 and his Masters of Business Administration in 2017.

His love of classic cars, community relationships and event planning will come in handy as he takes on the role of General Manager at the Classic Car Collection.

(The below photos were taken at a small gathering today to welcome Josh to the Collection and allow volunteers, staff, and family members to meet the new general manager.)

On Thursday, approximately 235 people checked in at the Classic Car Collection as a part of the 2017 Glidden Tour. The tour made stops in other towns such as Red Cloud, Minden, Holdrege, and stayed in Hastings. We had a blast meeting all of the different people and seeing the classic cars. In addition to stopping at the Collection, members of the tour also made a stop at the Arch, seeing two of Kearney’s fantastic museums!

On Thursday, September 14, 2017, the Rocky Mountain Region’s Cadillac LaSalle Club made a stop in their 2017 Prairie Driving Tour. Our director made sure to take photos of a few of the vehicles included in their group. Approximately 20 people stopped by, and we were glad to have them!

On Thursday, September 7, 2017, Crane River Theater Company relocated to our building to perform their rendition of the popular drama, Driving Miss Daisy. Performances sold out for both the Thursday and Friday night events. They will also be doing shows on the 9th and 10th, with a matinee performance on the Sunday.
